A Sober Way Home’s Arizona Alcohol and Drug Rehab center provides therapeutic treatment for drug and alcohol dependency in a family-style residential environment. The center has been recognized as one of the best drug treatment programs in the country and has been featured on A&E Network’s “Intervention” and on “Oprah.”

Patients are treated like family at the Prescott, Arizona center. A Sober Way Home is beautifully designed with a modern and clean feel. The spacious center’s balconies provide a stellar view of the nearby desert landscape. Treatment programs are available for a variety of addiction types including alcohol and drug, gambling, and opiates. Dual-diagnosis and neurofeedback treatments also are offered. A Sober Way Home also specializes in tailoring programs specific to young adult drug and alcohol abusers and has a program specifically for young adults who abuse opiates.

Alcohol and Drug Treatment
A Sober Way Home’s alcohol and drug treatment has three stages: the stabilization and foundation-building stage, the primary stage and the transitional stage. At each stage of the recovery process, clients work closely with A Sober Way Home staff members to ensure proper adherence to every step of the program.

Stabilization and foundation building: A detox is performed and the client is physically stabilized. After the client is given a comprehensive assessment, the center’s clinical director selects a therapist based on aligning the needs of the client with the training and skill set of the therapist. It is during this step that the center’s staff becomes familiar with the needs and characteristics of the client. Treatment goals are set and the individualized treatment plan begins. This step emphasizes the importance of accountability and acceptance in the recovery process. The foundation for a 12-step treatment program is created and the client begins the therapeutic process.

Primary stage: It is during this stage that the client truly begins the treatment process. The client will examine his or her relationships and boundaries in order to form healthy communication methods. A new lifestyle will begin to take shape and relapse prevention will begin. A Sober Way Home staff also takes time during this stage to treat grief or trauma and explore any underlying issues that may affect treatment or recovery.

Transitional stage: The final stage of treatment prepares the client for re-entry into the outside world. Job searches, volunteering or school provide the client with a way to get in touch with the community in order to provide a sense of freedom from treatment and to allow the client to apply what is being taught at the center. Clients maintain a close connection to the facility and take part in individual and group therapy sessions. An aftercare plan is established to provide consistency and an outlet for personal accountability.

Neurofeedback Program
Clients who take part in the neurofeedback program undergo a process which uses neurotechnologies to retrain brainwaves to establish new neural pathways that allow clients to make better decisions, reduce anxiety, improve focus and peace of mind. A UCLA study found that neurofeedback, in addition to 12-step treatment, greatly increased recovery rates. Neurofeedback treatment also eases the process of detoxification and helps clients to stay engaged in treatment.
